How can i get back into my windows live account?

I accidentally changed my windows live id to a nonexistent email address and now I can not get back in. I can't ask a question without signing in. I can't change the email without verifying the nonexistent one. I can't sign up for a new one because my email says it is already in use. I have files and pictures on skydive that I need. I can't find a number to talk to some one. I put in a request, was assigned a temp ID with pin. Told me there was a high volume of request to check back. after a month, the pin quit working. I am very frustrated.
