How do you make cake more moist?

ive looked around and ive seen alot of things about adding pudding, yogurt and mayo.( and applesaue but i dont have any) so which one should i use? can i use all of them together? and with the pudding, i dont have the instant pudding mix i have actual pudding, will that work too?
