If you are about to become homeless with no future prospects is it just better to commit suicide?

No, because there is always hope that things will improve. You might be able to get another job, get somewhere to live etc. There may be something to look forward to. In the UK, you could get a job selling The Big Issue for instance. Some people do quite well doing that. Or go to a hostel or something. Surely they have some help for homeless people, even in America?
