Its been 9 yrs, when will this stop?

I am the same way...hard to know what to say to have make friends my age. We live in a small town and people are so easy to judge. When rumors fly around here...they blossom into a huge fat lie. In other words, they grow to be bigger then what they started out to be. What did your husband say when you ask him aobut this rumor? Did he have an ex gf from that town? Men think we are so emotional that we take everything so seriously, but we really dont. It's the fact that they dont care or want to exsert a little energy in listening. I would just live your life and just go on with how you do things. I would get a part time job to get friends.
