DO YOU THINK MY BOYFRIEND IS WRONG OR AM BEING SELFISH?

so my birthday was in early may I had made reservations to a restaurant being that my birthday is cinco de mayo the reservations were canceled mind you I had to take initiative for or my own birthday, long story short we ended up going to chipotle for my b-day and that was it on his b-day i spent over 200 dollars I didn't even get a card, he said he would take me to the mall and let me pick something out and he would buy it complete bs I've been with him for five years am I overreacting or do you think he's just a guy and doesnt pay much attention to detail as women do
